Five Sustainable Building Resources

Thanks to our Tall Earth customers, we've been led deep down the sustainable housing rabbit hole. So many of you have used our products on your own beautiful projects, we've developed a real fascination with sustainable building over here. Whether you are just curious about the latest products and architectural marvels, or looking for ideas for your own sustainable building, here's a quick round up of our top five sustainable building resources.

A Total Building Guide

Ecohome is a comprehensive guide to green building with everything from tips to plans and inspiration from the green building community. Based in Canada, they offer workshops and building events across the country, but it looks as though they are open to suggestions, so maybe with a bit of encouragement and feedback, they would move some of those workshops online.

Beautiful, Practical and Inspiring

Inhabitat is one of my favorite places to lose hours to pleasure-reading on the Internet. It's a beautifully designed site featuring all things green living, architecture, design and sustainability. Their posts and updates are one of the rare few that still get opened regularly in my inbox.

This leader in green living has a great section devoted to sustainable building and architecture. There's also the latest in business, technology and science to keep your hope for mankind going strong.

Their mission statement says it all: 'to enhance homes (and the lives of people in them) with beautiful design, smart construction, resource conservation, energy efficiency, water savings, healthy air, green technology, and renewable energy.'

Science Meets Design

This slick sight (formerly Gizmag) is devoted to the latest innovations in science, technology, and transport, including green architecture and sustainable housing.

What are some of your favorite sustainable building resources? We'd love to hear from you in the comments below.
